RENEWING THE MINDFor as he thinks in his heart, so is he [in behavior--one who manipulates].He says to you, “Eat and drink,”Yet his heart is not with you [but it is begrudging the cost]. Prov 23:7What heart are we thinking from? Old heart of stone or the new heart of flesh.”Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you, and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.27 I will put my Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, Ezekiel 36:26. Notice its the heart and not the mind. The mind needs to be renewed to what the Spirit is saying to our new heart.The mind that is still connected to the sinful nature is and will always be hostile to God. Only the mind that is living from the new nature( God’s) will and will always be for God.
