The COVID-19 pandemic shifted our MA program entirely online, which has meant that lectures, office hours, and events are attended virtually by students with far fewer personal exchanges. The discussions students shared in the hallway outside of a professor’s office hours or in the Munk conference facility after an event no longer exist. Our podcast, CERES Circles Back, hopes to create a platform in which students can once again debate, discuss, and listen to the issues and ideas that brought us to CERES in the first place. Episodes will focus on the history, politics, culture, food, drink, and media of the European, Russian, and Eurasian region. The podcast will place considerable focus on the student experience: we hope to chat with current and former students on their MRPs and allow them to share their expertise with us.
