Wyatt Walker enters his second season coaching the Girls Varsity Basketball at Episcopal. In his first season, the Eagles reached the regional semi-finals of the FHSAA playoffs. With notable wins over Windermere Prep, University Christian, and Father Lopez, the Eagles return the majority of their core players and are seeking to make another deep playoff run. Prior to Episcopal, Coach Walker coached the boys’ basketball team at Mill Creek Academy, where the Mustangs had back-to-back winning seasons and finished runner-up in the conference championship. He played at Providence School where he was a part of two state championship winning teams. During his high school career he never lost a home game and accumulated a 117-10 record, winning four consecutive district championships as well as four consecutive regional championships. He is Providence’s all-time leading rebounder, third leading scorer, second leading shot blocker, and was named the 2015 Florida Times-Union player of the year. He played college basketball at Samford University where he led the Southern Conference in rebounds and double-doubles. He then transferred to North Carolina State where he started for the Wolfpack for the 2019 season and was named to the 2018-2019 All ACC-Academic Team. Coach Walker was selected 25th overall in the 2019 NBA G League draft and played the 2019 season for the Utah Jazz’s G league team, the Salt Lake City Stars.
