This week we are welcoming our first male Change Cadet, Randal Seriguchi of Urban Ed Academy. Randal has been the executive director of this powerful organization for nearly four years.

Urban Ed Academy provides educational services that help 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students succeed academically and become productive citizens with the support of their parents, families, schools, and communities. They are committed to improving the quality of life in communities of color in San Francisco by eliminating the achievement gap in education.

Randal drops so many gems in this episode and shares why he decided to pursue a career that looked a little different than what he initially pursued in college and his passion for what he is doing now. Along his journey, he has learned that failures while painful, can become assets.
