Host Jeremy C. Park talks with Jennifer Vaida, Chief Strategy Officer with Nurture the Next, who highlights the nonprofit organization that supports parents through evidence-based programs, education and advocacy efforts.

During the interview, Jennifer shares some of the history for the organization, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary, and talks about how they provide in-home parenting support in 30 counties in Tennessee and offer statewide programs that include parenting classes and parent leadership opportunities. She talks about the importance of taking a hands-on approach during the first five years of a child's life, when their brain is developing the fastest, and how participation in their programs is voluntary, free, and confidential. Jennifer also covers some of the major issues facing families and how they are working with other agencies and state partners to help create a safe and stable future for all Tennesseans. She wraps up with ways the community can support their efforts.
