McDonald's CEO Steve Easterbrook has resigned from his position after he violated company policy by engaging in a consensual relationship with an employee, according to the fast food giant.

McDonald's company policy forbids managers and executives from entering into romantic relationships with direct or indirect subordinates (aka employees).
