A long time triathlete and top performer in the US circuit, Eli and I caught up to talk about his personal path to Tokyo, what it looks like, and he was also friendly enough to school me in the path to elite triathlon and what the race circuit specifically looks like. We also talked mixed team relay, which just after this episode, he was a part of the silver medal effort for the US in Abu Dhabi, alongside a top 15 finish individually for a great start to his season.
