As Vancouver has notably been recognized as the Anti-Asian hate crime capital of North America, Annika, and Rithu attempt to unpack the recent pandemic-related discrimination and the rise of xenophobia in their own country.

In this episode, they are joined by Irving Chong (aka “The Asian Canadian” on Instagram), to discuss performative allyship, and how the media has shaped our views on racism.

They discover ways to support and hold space for our BiPOC families and other marginalized communities during this time.

Irving uses his platform to educate and inform others on the plights of the Asian community.

CHITTALK is an educational and self-development podcast hosted by Annika and Rithu, two women of colour living in Vancouver.
