Sermon Notes:
Cost of The Kingdom Pt. 3 - Luke 13
People Are Important - Luke 14:25--26
Notice the way that Jesus responds to people, “hate” is a call to
distinguish the things that are not essential and not a call to distinguish enemies - Luke 14:1-6
Confidence Is Good - Luke 14:28-30
There are many in the circles of life that see themselves above all others. That leads one to believe they will receive only the best. The kingdom is not about what you have, it’s about not wanting because of Jesus - Luke 14:12-15
Don't Ride The Fence - Luke 14:31-33
Simply put, your soul is at war with two kingdoms and it is important to choose which you want to align yourself with the one of power, or the one of grace. If you feel safe…. Make sure to count the cost - Luke 14:15-24
Mankind is made in the image of God, but when the creation of God has lost its ability to look like the creator we lack purpose. If you want to look like God, it will cost you what you think you need so you can give to others the freedom Christ paid for - Luke 14:34-35
