My name is Jessica. Jess for short. I'm a 45-year-old writer, traveler, educator, Lit fan, advocate crisis volunteer, sister, daughter,true crime lover, friend, cat mom....and I'm sick.

When I set out to create a podcast, I knew I wanted to talk about life with chronic illness, but I had NO idea which direction I wanted it to take. I still don't. I create outlines of scenarios and stories and conversations in my head as a base, and instead, I take twists and turns and back roads and rabbit holes in every which way to get to the point of my story. But that's life, isn't it?
