On this week's episode we speak with Steven Chester about two separate projects that are both currently garnering a lot of attention in Denver, Colorado.
First we speak about The Square on 21st, a pop-up park in the Ballpark neighborhood of Downtown Denver. Steven is overseeing this project in his role as a City Planner with the City of Denver. The park features a painted intersection, a dog park, a food court, a stage, and green space in addition to all the great programming they are producing. The project is slated to run for two-months but they're already looking at how they can extend that.
The other project we speak about is something Steven is doing in his free time - Flags of Denver. Combining his love for cities, graphic design, and vexillology, Steven is designing a flag for every neighborhood in Denver.
