Since 1974, the non-profit organization Brady has been taking action against gun violence by addressing the issue from all angles: policy, enforcement, and cultural change. At the helm of Brady as the organization’s president is Kris Brown, who has tirelessly worked to raise awareness of gun violence and its prevalence as a national healthcare crisis. Throughout her career, she has launched countless programs designed to save lives, including Brady’s groundbreaking safe storage campaign to End Family Fire. Determined to unify all Americans against gun violence, Kris is proof that hope comes in the form of vision. In this interview, we discuss Kris’ early career and what led her to Brady, ways to get involved with causes you’re passionate about and create change, and what inspires her to keep moving forward.
