Speaker, writer, change maker Mac talks salient sense at these times of great challenge and opportunity. An interrupter of the western ego-centric consumer world view. A wild man, an elder, a humble pilgrim and an enchanting storyteller' as says Bill Plotkin in a review for Mac's current book 'The Children's Fire'.
Explaining why he went on a pilgrimage from Malvern to Anglesey in the wintertime, Mac leads into some history of the Roman invasion and plundering of our indigenous culture, more of this in the book. His engaging way of relating information to do with our ancestors on the land of the United Kingdom sparks latent memories that have one captivated.
Observing that we have become a self-harming species who no longer consider the on going welfare of our children, and that includes all living beings. Our world needs something like this mass pandemic to wake us up into the truth that was seeded in our hearts as we incarnated. With his heart so aligned with the sustainability movement, Mac calls us forth to be responsibel leaders firstly of ourselves and then in our families and communities.
He says; 'It is a sign of good mental health to find much of what is going on at the moment extremely painful. It shows you are not numb.' With advice on how to find ways to traverse said twisted times, Mac suggests we take any attention off the 'is there a happy ending' scenario and focus on making the here and now the best it can be, with deep appreciation for the wealth in nature all around.
