Scent of a Woman came out in 1992 and tells the story of a preparatory school student (played by Chris O’Donnel) who takes a job as an assistant to an irritable, blind and retired lieutenant colonel (played by Al Pacino).
Charlie's lessons:
- He stopped being so naive
- He became even more mature than he was at the beginning of the movie
Frank's lessons:
- He is amazed by Charlie's integrity and loyalty
- He becomes more content with his life and more acceptant of his condition
My lessons:
- Tango Scene - “Some people live a lifetime in a minute”, “No mistakes in the tango. Not like life. If you get tangled up, you tangle on”
- “Car feels heavy. You know why? Because you got the fuckin’ weight of the world on your shoulders”
- Charlie wrestles with the Colonel for the gun. They argue. “You don’t wanna die”. “Give me one good reason why I shouldn’t.” “I’ll give you two: You can dance the tango and drive a Ferrari better than anyone I’ve ever seen”. “Where do I go from here, Charlie? “If you get tangled up, you tangle on”.
