• 4 medium onions
• 4 tablespoons butter
• 1 baguette or other bread
• 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
• 1 tsp salt
• 1/4 tsp pepper
• 1/4 tsp sugar
• 1 tbs flour
• 6 cups beef broth
