Today’s book suggestion is called The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie.

This YA novel is the coming of age story of a Native American teenage boy living on an Indian reservation and his decision to go to an all white high school off of the reservation. It’s a also a graphic novel with some beautiful illustrations.

I found this book as I was searching to bring you more male authors of color and also Native American authors, and I came across this book in Barnes & Noble as highly recommended.
