Hello, in this third episode of my podcast Community Focus, Ronald Chigwada is hosting a representative from African Union Youth Council in disability ambosador Nyasha Nhau unravelling challenges that persons with disability are facing in this period of battling COVID-19 Pandemic . We are also going to hear Tendai Nenyasha talking about  challenges that persons with albinism are facing especially in this period of battling COVID-19 pandemic. These guests are also going to share what they are doing to solve problems they are experiencing , as usual because of COVID-19 pandemic we are not having face to face recordings, we are using Whatsapp to communicate for most of our interviews.

African Union
Youth Council Disability representative Nyasha Nhau is unpacking these issues:

1) The need for donations to person with disability.

2) Exclusiveness of COVID-19 Government Policies towards persons with disability

 3)Discrimination against persons with disability.

Tendai Nenyasha is explaining these things:

1)Persons with albinism further marginalised and discriminated in COVID-19 response

2)The life of people with albinism more challenging, as their care has been considered less crucial or essential compared to the general population. However persons with albinism should have first priority, extra care and needs.

Community focus: marginalised society/disability constituency talk COVID-19.

My show is about voiceless marginalised community who have life with limited access to services such as information during this time of battling COVID-19 pandemic, this aims to ensure that marginalised and vulnerable groups are not left behind, and thier needs are provided as reflected in my podcasts. This pandemic has affected everyone differently, In this show you will hear Ronald Chigwada interviewing people who represents marginalised and vulnerable people from various organisations and individuals. This is mainly focused on COVID-19 affected people with no access to information, protective clothing, awareness compaigns and not being empowered to fight the pandemic. The show is also going to highlight and unpack the beast behind some of the issues that have been worsened with the arrival of the pandemic. Massive corruption is at its peak and missuse of resources at the expense of these people living in underrepresented areas, these communities are now worse off than they were before the pamdemic.Lockdown restrictions has also led to compromise of their right to work and they have been ravaged by hunger, crimes and diseases as the are poor health services or none at all in their areas. These vulnerable and marginalised people are persons with disability, children, woman, elderly and vendors. Having said all this, "Community focus podcast" is the voice of the voiceless which is a weapon to push the relevant authorities and the community atlarge to realise the effects of COVID-19 in marginalized communities.
