*Trigger Warning* At the beginning of this episode I share that we are discussing very sensitive topics of suicide and gender identity. I emphasize my point to listen DEEPLY to our guest as a parent who loves her children. I'd like to thank Mary Jane for being willing to share this extremely painful and sensitive conversation with us. She is still in the depths of this transition. Tim, (MJ's husband and Sam and Scottie's father) wasn't ready to share publicly and we totally understand and honor that. We are talking about their son, Sam, who died by suicide about four years ago. We will also talk about their daughter, Scottie’s, gender identity.
