The unassuming Jack Marucci has gone from Uniontown through West Virginia University to become a major player in both college and pro sports. Not only is he in his 24th year as Director of Athletic Training at LSU but, along the way, he founded the Marucci Bat Company which is used by more major leaguers, including Pirates slugger Josh Bell, than any other bat. I caught up with Jack making his annual Grapefruit League tour and had a wide-ranging conversation about LSU football, advances in training techniques, Marucci bats (of course) and looming conflict for the lifelong Steelers fan. A lot of good stuff here.
