In the year 1100, Bretagne is cursed by the Great Stoatification--a plague that transforms people into stoats. The vainglorious Lord Corentin of Dol is busy succumbing to the boredom of quarantine when his unacknowledged love, Lord Gurun, arrives--only to request sanctuary for himself, his wife, a wise woman, and a priest. Together, they must endure the perils of Stoatification--and each other.
