In today’s episode we speak with a retired Ottawa Red Blacks player Alex Mateas about learning how to learn, and dealing with shame that can sometimes spring up in educational environments. We discuss how everyone learns differently and how painful it can be to judge ourselves by other people’s standards. We talk about the different ways we can step back and understand how we learn and the ways we can apply that to our day-to-day endeavors. We also discuss the important roles that mentors play as we are learning and growing into the people we want to be in life.
