The podcast goes on. But why? We didn't get canceled only to be revived by a network after thousands of passionate fan letters poured in. No one "needs" this podcast. Except for maybe the two guys making it. Well, maybe that's enough for now.
Effort. It's the not-so-secret sauce to any creative pursuit. So why can't we give-give-give-give-it all we got every time? Or even most times when we really need to?
And by "vault", I mean earlier this year. And really only 4 months ago. I have no idea what we talk about in this one, but if I had to venture a guess, it would include "creativity", "rock n' roll" and "Paul Hogan."
Oh hi! Yeah, we still do this. We recorded this episode in May of 2019 and haven't really listened back to it. So let's all discover its contents together! Like Al Pacino's glove box! Wait, that can't be right...
Game of Thrones style! AND how creative beings are more likely to gather a box full of tools along the way to mastering their craft.
Shakespeare stacked the theater with what the people wanted. Mozart made money not as a composer. Never mind what your passion is...what's your creative business?
In his classic song, Tom Petty utters two identical phrases with completely opposing meanings. "The future was wide open" holds as much hope as it does despair. So how do we approach it as creative beings?
"I've got a business idea that no one has ever done before! I've got a song that sounds like nothing you've ever heard! I'm writing a book on the back of my hand!" Good luck! Don't overthink it and definitely make sure your audience doesn't hav
What do you say about Rocketman? Not enough, that's for sure. So we didn't try too hard. We probably could have tried harder. But we think you'll get the gist of our admiration and fascination with the most unlikely rockstar of all time.
What can Millennials learn from Gen X? Baby Boomers? Are they even listening? As they discover certain areas of expertise they can't simply download, it turns out they are.
We did a lot in 2018. And we documented most of it on our podcast. Here's a fun little recap of where our creative paths took us and where we see them going.
Is everyone getting successful without you? Probably not. Have others experienced the kind of success you'd like for yourself? Well...yeah...and you owe them a debt of gratitude for showing you the way (or really, one of the thousands of ways)
We talk about the lovely article by Ann Dowd as it was published in Glamour magazine. She gives some powerful insight into graceful approach to a success she knew was coming, albeit not for a long, long time.  Also, I accidentally deleted last
We examine the first moments that sent us down our respective creative paths. What were the early signs of wanting to chase down a life full of pursuing creativity. Plus an update on Jason's progression of his TV pilot!
We didn't mean to do this. But we ended up with a dense episode of good things to remember in your creative pursuits. So maybe it's just what we needed instead of what we planned. To sum up: Creativity comes to those who do.
Here's a fun one!  Jason has an idea for a show he wants to write. Mick has been teaching writers workshops for years now. Can these two confidants hash out a TV show on the podcast? Let's find out!
You know Caveman Steve, right? Well, now you'll know him and some of his crazy ideas. But one of those ideas might be all it takes to take humanity into the future.
We found a thing online and now we're talking about it. Cool?
We jump into a little bit of the science behind genius and reveal 10 questions to answer whether or not you're a creative person. Of course, we already think you are. But this might help convince you as well.
Breaking down the How, What and Why of your creative pursuits. Where do you start and what do you do? Maybe first answer why you want to do it.
We lost, perhaps, the greatest American playwright a little over a week ago. So many careers were launched and forged by the tools that were his words. How did Neil Simon become the greatest comedic playwright of our time? Simple. He tried to d
Happy Birthday, Jason. What does the other side of 40 look like when you're chasing your creative pursuits? Time to hang up the spurs?  Dismount and pick a new metaphor? As the philosopher once said, "Age ain't nothin but a number."
Paying homage to the Queen of Soul. She earned everything she got and deserved a whole lot more. From two humble guys, here's a little more respect for Aretha Franklin.
And by "youth" we mean our twenties. What were you listening to when you were young, dumb and full of boundless optimism? We'll show you ours, if you show us yours... Also, Mick is back. Finally. And we're letting him stay--like the fools we ar
