As we have traveled through Advent 2023 through Chapter One of the Gospel of John, we have much to contemplate about what we bring to Jesus, the newborn King. From incarnation to discipleship Jesus invites us to bring our brokenness, grief, and loss; our sin and shame in repentance and confession; open hands to receive his salvation and gift of the Holy Spirit; our seeking, finding and following in discipleship. All of that in Chapter One of the Gospel of John? Indeed.
