I loved 'show and tell' in grade school. When it was your day to 'show and tell' it was an opportunity to bring to class your most favorite thing, talk (tell) about it, then reveal it (show). It was always exciting to hear and see what others would bring.

Jesus brings to the world and to us the greatest and most profound show and tell the world has ever known: God's love. He talks about it, "God loves the world and you so much that he sent me, to save you, bringing abundant and eternal life."

And then Jesus shows the world and us God's love. He washes the disciples' feet and says, "Do the same." He says, "Love your enemies" saying, "Father forgive them for they know now what they do" and then dies on cross for others, teaching all the while, "Lay down your life for others."

Then Jesus rises again, appearing to the disciples, "See my hands, my feet, my side?!" And they are reminded again of God's love, "I am the resurrection and the life." Jesus is the greatest 'show and tell' the world has ever known, both telling and showing God's love.
