Award-winning author Nicolette Pierce joins us in this episode of CrimeFiction.FM to discuss her Nadia Wolf romantic suspense series, which begins with THE BIG BLIND.

I began reading this series during a three-week podcasting break when I had the opportunity to catch up on some of my “non-show” reading. I’d downloaded THE BIG BLIND for free sometime last year and spotted it while going through the unread books on my Kindle, I thought I’d read the first few chapters to see if I was interested. Well, that was the start of a very enjoyable binge reading week where I read all four books in the Nadia Wolf series.

We discuss the genesis of the idea for the series, which came from a fascination Nicolette’s husband had with watching tournament poker on television.

Nicolette shares the way she developed the different recurring characters and the world she built for the series.

We discuss the world of romantic suspense and Nicolette explains why she enjoys writing and reading the genre.

After the series had concluded, Nicolette found she still wasn’t done and began a new series based four of the supporting characters in the Nadia series. Two of those have already been published, one is set to publish soon, and a fourth is in the planning stage.
