On July 31st of 2020, a lightning strike in a remote area north of Grand Junction, CO sparked what would later come to be called The Pine Gulch Fire. Eric Coulter, Public Affairs Specialist for the Upper Colorado River District, and Jeremy Spetter, West Zone Fire Management Officer on the Upper Colorado Interagency Fire Management Unit, join me for an in-depth discussion of battling this historic wildfire and the logistics of fighting a blaze in the midst of a global pandemic.
