In this episode I discuss six survival tips that I use in our day to day lives. I hope that you know God is giving us grace constantly and that we do not have to perfect. If you are a mom of little ones, it is hard and knowing that someone is going through the same struggles in comforting. We have all been there when we feel like the rug is being ripped from underneath us.

Survival Tip #1: Rising before your kids do! This is hard I get it but meaningful. Whatever you have to do to be ready for the day I encourage you to do it before you get busy!

Survival Tip #2: Planning your days. I use my Plum Paper planner to plan our lives! It is an awesome resource that I will continue to use every year.

Survival Tip #3: Podcasts, Audio books, Books. We use podcasts to listen to unique and creative kids stories by Stories Podcast or StoryNory Podcast. These are the main two my kids jump for when they listen to podcasts!  I also discussed Read Aloud Revival, I know I referenced homeschoolers but it is honestly a superb resource that I look forward to listening to.

Survival Tip #4: Community.  I know this can be a touchy subject as some women have broken relationships, as do I, but we have to build a strong Christian community to lean into to do life with. Risen Motherhood discusses this on their podcast and they have some resources that I feel are solid and touch deeper on this topic. Do life with real life relationships!

Survival Tip #5: Meal Planning. Honestly I wish this part of my day just magically happened and I didn’t have to think about it. However, feeding our families takes a bit of planning and we either need to do it well or have it done for us. No one wants hangry children, no one. Prep Dish and MyFreezeasy are the two resources I mentioned.

Survial Tip #6: Bible Study and Bible Journaling.  The most important survival tip right?! Let’s be moms who know the word, can apply it to our mess and know God is with us every step of the way. YouVersion is an awesome resource that is great for starting out or a way to freshen up your bible study. Looking for a way to STUDY your bible?  Jen Hatmaker’s: ">A Modern Girls Guide to Bible Study is the first study I did in a group setting that challenged me to study my bible. Jen Wilkin’s: ">Women of the Word.
