The most intelligent information source I've ever heard, and it's just a few minutes!Love it!
This used to be a great podcast. Then Discovery took over and ruined it. First came a bunch of ads, then new episodes only three days a week, then the fire creator/host Cody Gaugh and longtime host Ashley Hamer. After that, the feed is nothing but reruns and then, surprise, they push out a trailer with two new hosts, Nate and Calli, who attempt to banter just like Cody and Ashley. Seriously? Thanks, Discovery for taking a great podcast and destroying it. I, for one, will not be listening. I hope everyone else boycotts as well. Awful!
This show was great when it was Ashley and Cody. Then one day they were gone with promises of new episodes from Disocovery. Months later we got our taste of the new hosts and I’m not impressed. The new hosts are trying to hard to be Ashley and Cody in the preview episode. Their banter, wordplay, and jokes feel forced. Cody and Ashley had a natural cohost chemistry going back and forth and it can’t be replicated by two new hosts trying to follow their forum ups. This felt like someone made a script based off what they thought Ashley and Cody would say and gave it to two people with instructions to try and be a poor man’s copy of them. If Discovery really wants to keep this podcast they need to let these hosts do their own thing. Having them copy and sound like Cody and Ashley is poor formula for retaining listeners who spent hours listening to Cody and Ashley. I’m pretty sure the writing is on the wall this this once great podcast is now a shadow of itself. Such a bummer to see from a once quality show.
This show nails the short-show format. Interesting, quick-paced, and even funny. Really well done show.
Great podcast. Very cool and unique guests, mostly from out of Chicago, unlike all the other generic New York podcasts. Love the laid back style, and Ashley's "fun facts" during the episodes make them super fun to listen to. Highly recommended!
Very good podcast. Top of my list.
Curiosity DailyThanks so much for listening!
I've been listening to this podcast daily for a few years now. It's a good short podcast to listen to while I start my day to get me thinking about new things and give me ideas for what to look into later when I have a moment to dive a bit deeper into subjects I'm more interested in. It strikes a good balance between being simple to understand for a mass market and getting too deep in the weeds with technical terms. The hosts have a great chemistry together as well!
I used to listen to this everyday. I loved Ashley Hamer and Cody Goff. They delivered the information naturally, with good banter and I honestly believed they knew random factoids they presented.I was getting worried when it had been repeats for weeks and apparently for good reason. These new hosts are God awful. They try and banter the same way, but it's so obviously scripted and the guy is terrible. The jokes he makes have the wrong inflections and emphasis and it's so cringey. I made it a minute into the drug one and he just aggressively yet somehow deadpan said "better than by the river in a van" and I was so thrown off. Like was that a joke? She's laughing like it is. The factoids are not believable from them. They are obviously just "actors" reading a script while Cody and Ashley actually seemed excited about the content. I'm so sad that my morning routine will have to change cause this is now unlistenable.
My favorite. I never miss an episode, it's part of my morning routine. ??
Must have for infotainment lovers
My favorite morning update! Love the information and energy this team brings and look forward to it everyday.
This is my favorite podcast of all the many that I listen to. I always learn fascinating and useful things and have a really fun time doing it. If I'm feeling down, listening to the hosts always lifts my spirits. Curiosity Daily's quality is consistently excellent.
Curiosity DailyThanks so much for the kind words! We'll strive to keep up the good work!
Curiosity Daily is so well put together that every episode is a joy to listen to. That consistency is something I value a lot. It's a podcast I can just play and know it's going to be good.
Look forward to M-F podcasts, learn something new. I often ask Alexa to "go back" to rehear a point. Can we access these podcasts more than once a day on Alexa?
Curiosity DailyThanks for the kind words! Amazon places certain limitations on its smart speaker abilities, and we unfortunately have no control over how Amazon delivers the show. Hopefully some day they will add t…
Helpful life hacks and interesting tidbits consolidated into a concise 10-20 minute show.
I love this podcast. I learn interesting things and episodes are short enough to keep my attention.
I love this podcast! The host are funny, smart and entertaining. I look forward to this podcast daily. I am sad the host are changing in March.
My all time favorite podcast! I absolutely love everything about it. It’s short, educational, filled with fun facts, and enjoy listening to both the presenters. This morning I heard Ashley say that “we all know stress is bad for us,” and I wanted to provide a possible, different perspective: I really hope you can check it out. I work in mental health and love bringing a lot of what I learn here, to my clients. This information is another way you can keep spreading the positive skills and strategies to others. I enjoy your podcast. Not only do I usually learn something new, but your banter keeps it light. I also like the fact that when I've listened to one of your podcasts, I haven't invested an hour or more of my time! Some podcasts are way too long! Yours is not one of those! On a recent podcast, you were talking about ants and how they apparently count their steps to find their way back home after foraging. Reminded me of a pun: Why don't ants ever get sick? Because, they have little antybodies! Sorry, not sorry...
