Learn More About Climate, Kayak, and Conversation
Join me for a conversation with Mark Hibbs, editor for the Coastal Review Online, a daily news service covering North Carolina's coast. The Coastal Review Online is a nonprofit news service and a member of the North Carolina Press Association published by the North Carolina Coastal Federation.
Being a coast news agency, articles and reports on coastal resiliency is a regular topic covered. It is not their job to be biassed one way or the other but to report the facts. In an effort to highlight this, the Coastal Review Online joined the Pulitzer Center’s nationwide Connected Coastlines reporting initiative, which examines efforts to make the North Carolina coast more resilient to the effects of climate change and sea-level rise.
On a special note, Mark recently received the Media and the Law Awards of Excellence sponsored by the North Carolina Bar Association for a series of stories on private property rights versus North Carolina’s coastal regulatory authority.
