To mark Women in Horror Month’s 10th anniversary, I interviewed Blood Fest director Owen Egerton. The interview uncovered Egerton’s top picks for the Women in Horror Month Challenge—with his vote for categories including icons, the next generation, maneaters, and divas, plus a nod to women behind the camera: writers, effects artists, and directors.

Note: I misspoke and called the name of the ship in the original Alien (1979) "Mother" during our discussion of the maneaters category. I was referring to the ship's CPU, not the actual ship name, which is Nostromo.
