After being inspired by the young women who told her story in episode 2 Raped by My Dad, Katrina felt it was time to share her own. In this episode Katrina speaks to Daddyless Daughters about her experiences of teenage pregnancy, being molestered by a family member and filling the void of fatherlessness. In 2014 – 2018 the share of families headed by single parents was 75% among Black families, 58% among Hispanic families, 37% among White families and 21% among Asian families. Listen to how Katrina explains her experiences of growing up in a Black single parent household where depression and anxiety were not welcome.
