*) Man kills at least one woman in church knife attack
A knife attacker has killed three people, slitting the throat of at least one woman, at the Basilica of Notre-Dame church in the French city of Nice.
Investigators found two unused knives in the assailant’s bag and the prosecutor said police who shot him had "without any doubt prevented an even higher toll".
French anti-terror authorities have opened an investigation into the Nice attack.

More than 80 million Americans have cast ballots in the US presidential election, setting the stage for the highest participation rate in over a century.
The record-breaking pace, 58 percent more than the total 2016 turnout, reflects an intense interest in the vote.
Many people voted by mail or at early in-person polling sites amid concerns that Covid-19 could spread at busy Election Day voting places.
*) Putin seeks Turkey's hand in settling Karabakh conflict
Russia's president has said Armenia and Azerbaijan should resolve the conflict over occupied Nagorno-Karabakh via the Minsk Group.
Vladimir Putin said a resolution will be possible when the conflicting parties find a "balance of interests", based on proposals from the Minsk Group which Turkey is a part of.
Three ceasefires have failed to hold between Armenia and Azerbaijan since fresh clashes broke out in September over the occupied territory.
*) ADF militia kills at least 19 in eastern DR Congo
At least 19 people have been killed in the Democratic Republic of Congo by militants from the Allied Democratic Forces.
The attack happened overnight in the remote eastern village of Baeti.
The administrator of Beni territory in North Kivu province confirmed the death toll, saying houses had been burnt and people were still missing.

Instagram is prepping for the November 3 presidential election by making it harder for users in the US to receive misinformation about the polls.
For users in the United States, Instagram will temporarily remove the "Recent" tab from hashtag pages starting Thursday.
Instagram said it is taking the step to reduce the real-time spread of potentially harmful content that could pop up around the election.
