According to police, NBA G-League player Chance Comanche has been arrested for allegedly strangling a woman to death with an HDMI chord. Regardless of Comanche’s innocence, this story should end the days of handing the responsibility of teaching kids ethics to athletes. Instead, we should teach kids that “athlete” and “role model are not synonymous, and use athletes' screw-ups as teaching mechanisms.
