The celebration of Diversity continues in this part 2 of Diversity in STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

There are many facets to diversity, looking at females in STEM, studies show that women are underrepresented in these fields, especially in technology, engineering, and senior leadership roles; UNESCO shows that the STEM workforce is 71% male and according to the Harvard Business Review, women in STEM are 45% more likely than men to leave the industry within one year.

In this episode our amazing panel explains what commitment to diversity means, what shift we are seeing now and what the best thing with STEM is.

Our panelists:
·      Afshan Hussain – Senior Vice President, Client Services at Fishawack Health. She has over 20 years of experience in healthcare communication, she is an advocate for Diversity and Inclusion and has newly formed a nonprofit called the Rabab Foundation that focuses on health literacy and career mentorship.
·      Lisa Pratt – A Physician and Pharmaceutical Executive with over 20 years’ experience, and most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Commercial Strategy at a biotech firm. She is also an advocate for women and girls who have suffered abuse.
·      Sonali Bhavsar – Has over 20 years’ experience in data analytics, technology and management consultancy focusing on risk and compliance. Formerly a Managing director for the 4 big consulting firms and is a speaker and an advocate for diversity and inclusion.
·      Michelle Scarbrough – Founder of Scarbrough Strategies and an Entrepreneur who helps business leaders leverage their data, analyze and optimize results. She has more than a decade of experience in data analytics and data science.
