In this new DSMINDSETS podcast episode we invited Professor Dr. Anda Iamnitchi who is Professor and Chair of Computational Social Sciences at the Institute of Data Science at Maastricht University.
Anda Iamnitchi uses distributed computing to examine information distribution within and across different social media platforms. She also looks at how the functioning of society is impacted through these phenomena and works on designing better information distributing systems.
With host Kody Moodley she  covers  her career trajectory and also talks about her latest research about polarization on social media. In her work she looks at how information spreads  online, depending on particular parameters. The research also entails the examination of behavior of minority vs. majority groups on various platforms, given different contexts.
