I spent some time last week helping to launch Tearfund’s new campaign ‘No Child Taken. The podcast is the message I gave to 12000 people at Big Church Day Out- a great Christian festival in the UK.
We want to help 50,000 vulnerable children to achieve the future and hope that God intends for them rather than the pain and suffering that the traffickers intend.

I am David, a follower of Jesus who is just trying to work it all out. I have been a Christian for as long as I can remember and for as long as I can remember I have been gripped by the vision of mission. I was enthralled by the evangelists who came to Church and always resonated with those who were passionate about the last, the least and the lost. And so mission became my passion - I began sharing my love for Jesus with friends, and now I am Integral Mission Director at Tearfund. Over time I have learnt that that too much of my evangelism ignored the context of people’s lives. That word and deed needed to go hand in hand. That good news to a troubled teenager caught up in the legal system was to have an advocate. That good news to the worn out single mum with three kids was someone to give the children a great afternoon while she had a rest. Evangelism, conversion, prayer, practical service, worship, justice seeking, discipleship. All these things were meant to be together and stay together.This podcast is about following Jesus. My greatest desire and deepest prayer is that I faithfully and effectively follow Him wherever He leads, becoming more like Him, living to bring Him glory and representing Him faithfully to all whom I meet, and my goal is to inspire and equip as many Christians and churches as possible to serve their communities with word and deed in the power of the Holy Spirit.Join Podchaser to...
