There is no denying that pushing yourself is potentially beneficial but too much of it might result in suffering and a drop of your progress for unexpected time due to recovery. Sharing my own experience where pushing myself didn't turn out as well as I expected. David Goggins is so awesome that I was so inspired to suddenly test myself physically. Nothing crazy but too much of it did harm to me. When it comes to physical stress it's good idea to adapt to it gradually not suddenly. Just a reminder.
