RATING
DeadlyManners follows a group of arrogant and rude people trying to keep up appearances while attending a dinner party in hell. Wow I'm entertained! The story and sub stories is exiting and interesting, the voice acting is great, the dialogue is witty and well written. Listen if you like a good murder investigation in a 1950'ies setting a la Murder on the Orient Express.
Deadly Manners features a stellar cast but is let down by annoying panning of voices and sound effects between speakers. The storyline is fun, if a little drawn out, but I just can't get over the annoying production. I find it very distracting when one person's speech flicks from side to side unnecessarily.
Cunning british detective about close space murders in the winter of 1954. At first you think that almost all the guests and hosts are posh and VERY MEAN, than they start to die and it gets so intriguing and dark humored you enjoy it.Loved all the twists! Expecially secret lesbian one!
Oh my goodness this was a riot. A ridiculous farce on the whodunnit genre. Well worth the ten-episode investment.
The twist and turns where amazing. Levar Burton being the narrator was icing on the cake.
This show wants to strike a balance of heightened comedy of manners and SERIOUS social commentary but just isn’t good enough to tackle the two, leaving the impression that everyone is just a walking straw man. Kristen Bell is the only one who gets any real shading to her character and her talents still feel wasted here.
Murder Mystery + Lavar Burton + Great Sound Design & Story = Unforgettable Podcast you don't want to miss.
Not for me.Just a swirl of unlikable characters, like hysterical women and anytime you get a character that says 'Do you know who I am?' You know it's a dud.
Starts slow, but really picks up and is absolutely charming!
Didn't find the story compelling.
This closed-box murder set in the 1950s has a full cast and solid soundscaping. I wish the mystery offered up bit more clues so it felt a more possible for me to figure out who the murder was, but the production is decent.
