This week on Death is Everything we continue our deep dive (climb?) of the deadly K2 by considering what goes into the exploratory spirit that leads people to risk their lives for glory. Hurray for adventurers! We then, to everyone’s surprise, recount the tragedies that befell said brave sojourners during the disastrous 1986 and 1995 expeditions. They died doing what they loved and that’s what matters. Hey, future K2 climbers: please, PLEASE listen to the weather forecast and observations of those with experience before climbing this treacherous mountain. Please? You’ve been warned!
RIP to Marianne’s precious BIC Atlantis, 2019-2026, your heroic deeds will be remembered.
