It was our pleasure to interview Liz Scott, psychologist and writer, whose new book “You’re Going to Die… But Not Me!” is a poignant and hilarious discourse on her exploration of her fears concerning death. Today she talks with us about her personal experiences with death and death care, her perspective on mortality, and what if anything may come after. We also hear her thoughts on burial practices and how she views people’s personal perception of death and the natural fear of the unknown. Her book is a deep and clever look into one person’s headspace concerning death and the larger existential and philosophical concepts at play, all done with a sense of humor that brings levity to sombre subject matter.
