This is, without exaggeration, the best podcast I’ve ever listened to in my life; the beginning-of-episode banter is always hilarious, and the actual play is no less so - except, of course, when it’s breaking your heart instead. The cast’s laughter is infectuous, the roleplaying captivating, the setting verisimilitudinous, the music beautiful, the dramaturgy deep. If you want to cackle about chariots and be bought to the edge of tears by a discussion of architecture, this is the podcast for you. Also worthy of praise is the DM’s scrupulous approach to content warnings and safety tools, as well as the top-notch queer representation amongst the NPCs as well as the PCs. I know for a fact that the DM of a campaign I’m playing in has been influenced by this podcast, and the campaign is better for it.In conclusion, this podcast is very good and you should listen to it.
