RATING
This podcast's good old fashioned set of two fisted adventures were one of the first audio dramas I had listened to on the internet. Blackjack Justice and The Red Panda were a lot of fun and I still listen to them over and over again when I have a chance.
Decent stories. Not bad, but didn't feel the need to continue listening.
I have been listening to the podcast for years now and I love it. Greg and company are wonderful storytellers. If you haven't started yet, you're in for a real treat.
Combining classic tropes with modern technology the team over at Decoder Ring theater are leading the way for audiodramatists everywhere. Their dual flagship properties: The Red Panda Adventures; and Blackjack Justice, are instant classics that have won the hearts and minds the world over.
Not a week goes by where I don't relisten episodes. Hands down my all time favorite pod cast. Can't wait to see what else is in store.
Audio dramas of this quality and this longevity are the unicorns of indie audio drama. Here, there are two long running series: The Red Panda Adventures, which follow the activities of a masked vigilante in the vein of The Shadow and his partner. Black Jack Justice is about hard boiled private detectives, Jack and Trixie Dixon. The Red Panda Adventures has one of the most satisfying audio drama arcs I've encountered. Superheroes usually don't get to age but here they do, living through the events of the Great Depression, World War II and the rebuilding, and experiencing life events like marriage, having children, and growing old. Through it all, the character development is masterful and no detail is left un-revisited. These are characters who live and breathe. Also, they fight themed villains, Nazis, and dinosaurs. It's the best.
My all time favorite podcast ever.
Dependable, well-written, wonderfully acted audio dramas in the form of old-fashioned radio plays. I'm a huge fan of Black Jack Justice in particular whose characters and their banter I never tire of.
