As you may or may not know, the devil is extraordinarily clever. However, as children of God, we are to be as clever as a serpent.  Be ye therefore wise as serpents and harmless as doves (Matthew 10:16)

How can one be as clever as a serpent, if one cannot identify the serpent, nor the serpent’s ways or his devices? The only way is, to be aware and to understand the nature of the serpent.
