Defy The Crowd is a show dedicated to helping and educating investors by deconstructing and demystifying investing. I build a new way to educate investors by unifying all the great wisdom for exceptional investors and experts. This is a new way to approach investing, away from the conflicts and self-dealing that is so prevalent in the investment world. It's my job to bring an independent and thoughtful approach to long-term investing. The good news is that other great investors have figured out the critical principles of investment success. The bad news is that those principles get lost in the garbage and conflicts that permeate the industry. My role is to bring the best ideas together in a understandable and practical manner, so investors no longer have to be victims of bad and misleading advice. Frameworks and principles, not stock tips and predictions. This podcast is a journey to enable listeners to build their own circle of competence. I want to empower investors to get out of the victim mindset and into a new mindset where they can make their own sound judgments and have a confident and peaceful state of mind. This show is centered on two principles. 1) Leverage the best of what other experts have figured out. Every skill has a few highly forceful principles that enable success. My goal is to decipher what those principles are and convey them in a unique and practical manner. 2) Borrow the best ideas from other disciplines and apply them to investing. There are so many brilliant ideas hiding in other domains that are neglected by most people. I will cultivate and explain how to best use existing ideas in new ways.
