In Season 4, Kelly and Cyndi check out some interesting unsolved mysteries. They kick off this season with Jane and John Does including the unidentified bodies on Mount Everest and the Miami-Dade County Jane Doe.
The death zone is any elevation above 26,000 ft. It’s called the death zone because human life cannot survive above that altitude for any extended period of time. The death zone on Mount Everest is called Rainbow Valley because there are up to 200 frozen unidentified bodies in brightly colored mountaineering clothes lying along the route to the summit.
It costs anywhere from $30,000 to $70,000 to remove a body from the mountain, which is the cost to climb the mountain, so most sign a waiver their bodies will stay on the mountain. Most stay where they died because the other climbers don’t have the strength to do anything about it. more…
On the morning of September 4, 1979, the residents of the Biscayne Gardens Apartments in Miami-Dade County, Florida discovered the body of an unidentified female who became known as the Miami-Dade County Jane Doe. The woman’s body lay in the apartment complex parking lot next to a dumpster on the edge of a wooded lot towards the rear of the building.
Biscayne Gardens Apartments, located at 15555 Northwest 2nd Avenue in Miami, Florida is situated just east of I-95. The interstate connects Miami with the entirety of the United State’s east coast. more…
