Garry calls in the troops (all 6) to help him finish off a Steveless show on August 11th, 1993. Steve was home with a mysterious illness brought on by a WLUP air staff meeting the night before. I guess you could call it a staph infection. It's a Pundemic!
No wonder Garry ended up hating Steve. Interestingly enough, even though Steve has tried to make amends, no quarter has been given. We're not talking about the Led Zeppelin song, either. Or are we?

Even through the "drinking" years, Steve had the presence of mind to start recording and saving his shows. The early shows were recorded on a Betamax and then later on VHS machines. That was the only way to record an entire 4 1/2-hour show without having to remember to change tapes every hour. Subscribers are now the beneficiaries of Steve's foresight with the weekly Descent.
