The University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital, the only extensive children's facility in Iowa, recently built a tech-based entertainment environment in the main lobby of its facility. They called it Nick’s Theater, and it houses a state-of-the-art, 32-foot curved display for both patients and families to enjoy interactive games, movie nights and more as more and more studies show that video gaming can be an effective form of pain relief.

Monica Rosener, lead UX designer, and Curtis Walker, technology director for Dimensional Innovations, join us to discuss how their teams helped work digital miracles for the kids at University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital. For more case study info about this project, which won a Silver APEX Award in the Education & Healthcare category at DSE 2018, click here.
