When my guest’s book arrived in the mail, it being the primary research tool I’d be using to develop this podcast interview, one extremely important matter became obvious to me, and it was going to demand that both of us call upon all the grace, open-mindedness, courage and dignity we could muster, having no desire to change the truths the other holds so dear! I thought the underlying theme of the episode was going to focus on my guest’s experience with and healing from sexual trauma, not how GOD views same sex relationships, but that’s okay. At the core is the question, is GOD who HE says HE is as interpreted by most conservative theologians, or can there be a different interpretation when historical language and culture of days gone by are considered? Whatever one decides, this is clear…the DIVINE can do nothing but love with an everlasting love, all of creation!
