1:10
My name is Dan Leonard. Hi, Dan. Hi, Dan. And joining me this week in the studio
1:15
is Heather Strait. Hello. And Mr. Jeff Williams. Hey, that's me.
1:20
Sure is. Our show, as always, is brought to you by Key to the World Travel.

on the vacation of a lifetime. Recently, Universal Orlando made the biggest theme park announcement of the year.
1:47
Was it epic? Is it the kiddie park in Texas?
1:52
Yeah. Yeah, all the details on that exciting construction project.
1:56
Yeah, no, they released the largest collection yet of information about Epic
2:01
Universe, the new theme park and resort hotels that they're opening in 2025.
2:05
And confirmed some things we all knew.
2:08
They're filling in some blanks. They didn't have a lot of details for most of
2:13
the lands, but we're going to take a look at what they've officially told us
2:16
about and what we kind of know from filling in blanks.
2:20
I feel like this is like the first official even acknowledgement of some of
2:25
these lands. You know, we do a book about Super Nintendo World,
2:28
but the rest of them were just sort of gleaning information from concept art.
2:33
It's so funny to me how they do that, because they just always wait until all
2:38
the bloggers and the bio-reconstruct aerial footage and everything proves that
2:42
it's how to train your dragon. And then like, well, OK.
2:46
Yeah, sure. We're not going to talk about it, but it's there.
2:49
Yeah, I mean, even like in two...
2:53
We'll get into it. Let's get into it. Let's talk about, first of all,
2:57
on the periphery of this site.
2:59
So where is this located?
3:02
It is a little bit of a hike away from the rest of the theme parks, about 15 minutes away.
3:08
It's kind of on the other side of the Endless Summer resource.
3:13
Yeah, it's not too far from Endless Summer.
3:16
If you drive out towards them and keep going. Yeah, it's just past I-Drive or
3:20
whatever, I-4 from there, or whatever that is, whatever that road is.
3:24
Yeah, so it's not like you're going to be able to just hop on over like you
3:28
can between the two existing parks. There's not going to be any walking from
3:32
between this and the other two parks.
3:36
Right, right. But they are extending their own entire road out there to it that
3:41
previously did not connect. So that's a major, major project. Yeah, they've done a ton of that infrastructure stuff.
3:49
And right on the periphery of the park, we've got first let's talk about we've
3:53
got some exciting new hotels that are really not that far off from opening and
3:59
the construction progress is looking great.
4:01
I just saw a video one of them way yesterday. Yeah, I just saw a video yesterday of it.
4:07
And there are they're really far along and they look very cool.
4:11
Yeah, so the hotels are slated to open before Epic Universe,
4:18
the park does, at least two of them. So we've got these twin resorts, Stella Nova and Terra Luna.
4:25
They are opening in February of next year.
4:28
And these are some really cool looking hotels. They're kind of they're kind
4:33
of that deluxe or not deluxe. I'm sorry. The value plus value.
4:37
They're they're they're very modern. Really, they don't feel like what I think
4:43
of when I hear the word value hotel. They're they're reminiscent of kind of a mix between Endless Summer and Aventura.
4:51
And that's right where they price, too. I think the single rooms are like one hundred thirty a night to start. Very, very reasonable.
4:58
They look really cool, too. They're kind of that constant, like the front of the park look.
5:03
They're all like retro future, kind of.
5:07
Stellanova is giving me sort of space vibes.
5:11
A little bit like kind of what we all thought, hoped that the Star Cruiser might be.
5:17
It's very cool looking. Yeah, I think they're both kind of that same.
5:21
Yeah, the rooms in them especially, they have a window that looks very much
5:25
like the viewport in the Star Cruiser. That's why it was giving me Star Cruiser vibes.
5:31
Yeah. Yeah. But, you know, they're modern.
5:34
It looks like if Star Cruiser wasn't a prison ship.
5:39
They're kind of like that modern minimalist kind of interior that you see at
5:44
Aventura, it looks like, but a little bit more space.
5:50
And these two, these first two, Stellanova and Terra Luna, are opening actually
5:54
in February. So, about a year from now, those two will be open.
6:00
And they have wanted to point out that they will open before the park.
6:06
And they're still not revealing when the park, when in the year the park's going to open.
6:11
But there will be. It's actually next Wednesday.
6:15
They did confirm that there will be transportation from Stellanova and Terra
6:20
Luna over to studios and Islands of Adventure.
6:25
Oh, yeah. I mean, naturally, there would have to be.
6:28
And these are open a little bit earlier because they're not right up on the
6:34
park like the other one, this Universal Grand Helios Hotel.
6:38
This one is what I'm really looking forward to. Yeah.
6:42
And we don't have a firm date on this other than sometime in 2025,
6:45
because it is a phenomenal Mediterranean inspired deluxe resort hotel that is the first...
6:57
Entry into the park. Yeah, this is going to be like at Disneyland Paris and
7:02
Tokyo Disneyland, where they have a huge, beautiful deluxe hotel.
7:06
Grand Californian. Grand Californian, yeah.
7:09
That gives you direct access into this park, which is amazing.
7:15
I'm so excited for that. And one of the other things they confirmed with all
7:20
these recent announcements is there's not going to be a CityWalk-style place
7:25
where you have to park and enter these.
7:29
You're not going to have to go park over at CityWalk and take transportation.
7:32
There will be parking specifically for Epic Universe, which is cool.
7:38
Yeah, that's nice. And makes a lot of sense because it's a bit of a drive from CityWalk. Right.
7:45
Yeah, we don't have a ton of details on what the interior of the Helios Grand
7:52
looks like or, you know, restaurants, anything like that.
7:55
They don't have the website just said details coming soon.
7:59
But this is another one that was rumored. We all had heard the rumors this was going to happen.
8:04
And they kind of slid it into this announcement that, yes, this is happening.
8:12
Right. Helios Grand.
8:16
Previously, they hadn't officially announced the name of it or anything,
8:21
but it was all out there in the blogosphere, and we were all just assuming that
8:25
people had it correct. Which largely they do.
8:29
So moving into the park itself, it's five lands, although one is kind of a hub.
8:36
It's very similar to how the Disney theme parks are laid out,
8:41
where it's got this central hub land, which is called Celestial Park.
8:49
But there are going to be rides in the hub section, right?
8:53
That sort of surprised me. Did you see the fly through that they put out,
8:57
the video? Mm-hmm. Yeah, we'll link this.
9:00
They have a fly-through video that we'll show. And it looks phenomenal.
9:04
So it's a full-blown land on its own. There's these portals that are these kind
9:08
of steampunky-looking portals into each of the magic lands.
9:13
But let's talk for a minute about Celestial Park, because this is the only land
9:17
that they've really officially released a lot of details for.
9:20
So not only is it going to transport you to the other lands,
9:24
but it's kind of built around this kind of spacey kind of feel itself.
9:30
We've got a launched racing roller coaster going in there. This thing looks really cool.
9:38
Yeah, Starfall Racers, where each of the cars is a comet racing through outer space.
9:43
I love the description they said about this one that it's going to be even cooler at night.
9:48
Night it's all it will all be lit up
9:50
and the cars racing will look like comets at
9:53
night yeah they look like comets and this is
9:56
a big fast roller coaster it is a max
9:59
height of 130 feet and max speed of 62 miles an hour and i saw something saying
10:04
there's no braking zones you're just going balls to the wall what through the
10:08
entire yeah there's there's there's no brake sections it's just it is a real
10:13
race through space they're just sending you out and the whole look of this This
10:17
part of the park is so cool to me. It's somewhere between like the
10:20
Jules Verne look of the Tomorrowland at Disneyland Paris. And then like.
10:26
The renaissance looking stuff in the Star Wars prequels. It's kind of got that gilded vibe. Totally.
10:33
Lights and gold trim everywhere and a lot of brass. It looks super,
10:37
super cool. A lot of glass. Yeah.
10:41
Steampunk isn't quite the right word for it. It is with the stained glass and
10:45
everything. It's a lot more. It's got a lot of glass. It's like a future retro look that almost looks like old Grand Central Station.
10:53
Retro future. Crystal Palace and these kinds of looks.
10:57
Yeah, there's going to be a fancy restaurant in there, right?
11:01
Yeah, there's a pair of restaurants. There's one, what is it called?
11:05
Atlantic, which is super cool.
11:08
Floor to ceiling, glass window. So the idea is you are inside a gigantic aquarium
11:13
and the ceiling is a giant screen where there's going to be fish swimming over
11:18
your head as you eat surf and turf. So it looks like you're sort of under the sea while you're eating. yeah
11:23
so cool and then the pan asian place looks
11:26
super dope and neon yeah really cool glowing
11:30
dragon pan asian yep oh yeah
11:33
killer yeah that's gonna have uh
11:36
a variety of cuisines from
11:40
across all of asia as the name things but it
11:42
looks like it's just there's gonna be an outdoor
11:45
kind of garden area uh there's a uh
11:48
the crap what is it not the crouching tiger there's there's a something tiger
11:52
bar inside tiger hidden dragon yeah yes and a beautiful big carousel i like
11:58
that that idea too so there's already we can see that they're they're going
12:03
for attractions for all ages in this park.
12:07
Yeah. And the carousel is gorgeous with, again, that stained glass.
12:12
But did you catch all of the creatures on it? They're going to be inspired by
12:16
various zodiacs and the constellations.
12:18
And then the cool thing about it is, is not only does it go around in circles
12:23
like a carousel, but then the individual animals also spin.
12:26
So it's going to be like planets revolving through, spinning as they spin.
12:35
Yeah, that's really cool. They're also going to have a Super Nintendo World store in this area.
12:43
It is weird that that's in the Celestial Park area rather than in the Super Nintendo World area.
12:49
Well, they want you to buy your power-up bands before you go into Super Nintendo.
12:53
That's what I was wondering. Oh, that makes sense.
12:55
Get you to purchase your merch ahead of time.
12:58
Yeah, since they don't have... Because really, this area kind of takes a place of CityWalk.
13:05
I'm sure there will be more dining and there's going to be more shopping in there.
13:10
But they want to give you a chance to get your power-up band before you go into Super Nintendo.
13:15
And it also then doesn't take up real estate in Super Nintendo World,
13:19
I would think. Yeah, it looks like it's got basically the same footprint as the other parks.
13:25
Yeah, actually, it's a little bit bigger because it is expanded.
13:28
Yeah, it will be the biggest one in the world. Yeah, so it's got everything that's at Hollywood plus the Yoshi ride that's in Japan.
13:37
But then on top of that, we're getting a whole new first in the world ride.
13:42
It's a Donkey Kong Country roller coaster, which looks amazing.
13:47
It looks so, so cool. Rolled away at
13:50
On that arm, it makes it look like it's jumping track. So there's a faux track
13:53
above the real track that looks like a rickety old mine cart track.
13:57
We've talked about this before when we've seen some proposals come up for it.
14:01
And it's exciting to see that it's actually happening.
14:04
Oh, and it looks super, super cool. Now that you see the aerial footage of this
14:07
thing, it's really, really cool. Yeah. Yeah, they do have a lot of the exterior work on that building.
14:18
I know I've seen pictures of done. Um, one interesting thing that I noticed, so from the celestial park area,
14:25
like I said, there's these portals into the different land.
14:28
And so they're kind of sticking with that retro future.
14:31
Uh, it's almost like a Stargate kind of thing, which, which for super Nintendo, it looks a little funny.
14:38
I like the other parks you walk through a warp pipe.
14:41
So this one is a little bit different from there. But then I also like how outside
14:45
of each of these portals, there's kind of an icon attached to it to show you
14:50
where you're going on the tower. So, for example, in the Wizarding World area, there's that great big elder wand that kind of rises up.
15:00
So they give you these icons to help you figure out where you're going.
15:04
I like the idea of that, too. It's sort of keeping in the Warp Tunnel vibe where
15:09
each one is a Warp Tunnel like it is in the other parks going into Nintendo World.
15:14
But it's like a cross between that tunnel and the typical tower icon of the other parks.
15:22
It's really cool. And we've gotten confirmation finally that it's going to be Wizarding World
15:31
of Harry Potter Ministry of Magic.
15:33
I'm so excited. This is the weirdest, dumbest thing, because they were going to set it in France.
15:39
And then that movie, those movies continued to flop. So they were like,
15:43
nope, we're going to do Ministry of Magic. But it's still in France somehow.
15:47
Yeah. Well, see, here's the cool thing. You jump in location and time from Paris
15:52
in the 20s to England in the 90s for the ride.
15:57
But so the main the main area of the land is like full size Parisian streets
16:04
with spaces for for shopping and dining.
16:10
It sounds like there's going to be two eatery to restaurants.
16:13
They're going to have smell it. There's pumping in authentic B.O.
16:18
So you really feel like actual Paris.
16:21
I hope so. So and then the rumor is that the way you accomplish getting to London
16:26
in the 1990s into the ride is you might be going through the flu network somehow.
16:32
So there's a magic transportation. And that would be cool if they pull that off. I mean, they pulled off the concept
16:40
videos of it. It looks dope. They really pulled off the Hogwarts Express so well that was executed perfectly.
16:47
So if they can do this, I mean.
16:50
I prefer that if we actually could flush ourselves in like in the movies.
16:54
That's what I was going to say. Maybe. Maybe logistically. That's how you get out at the end.
17:00
The portals kind of look like a berm like from Lord of the Rings in the Shire.
17:05
I'm just looking at this picture. It looks like a hobbit house with a tower on top. Yep.
17:11
And the other crazy thing about the Wizarding World, too, if you look at the
17:15
concept art, the maps, they've released two different ones in both of them.
17:19
Look at the size of the show building compared to the streets of Paris.
17:24
Whatever this attraction is going to be is gigantic.
17:29
I'm excited for this. And there's still an expansion pad on the other side for another mega ride.
17:36
And there's part of that space might be for one of the restaurants because obviously
17:42
this is not at all confirmed. Confirmed but i have seen rumors that one
17:47
of the restaurants may be the great hall at
17:50
hogwarts i will die dining so maybe
17:55
i don't know how they pull off a second i mean magical jump from paris begging
17:59
for that kind of thing for a long time so i i'm shocked they didn't really hope
18:04
already somewhere but i guess space constraints yeah they're not they don't
18:09
have that here now you You know, biting the bullet and going down the road and buying up a big piece of land was smart.
18:17
It's funny how everybody acts like this is so far away, but it's still closer
18:22
than the furthest two Disney parks from each other.
18:26
It's what, 10 to 15 minutes away. And think about how long it takes.
18:29
It's just like going from Animal Kingdom area to Magic Kingdom area. Yeah.
18:34
It just doesn't have all of the space in between.
18:38
But I mean, it's huge. And they definitely do have a couple of big expansions.
18:42
So that's about all we know officially for the Wizarding World area.
18:48
Somehow the attraction is supposed to be set inside the Ministry of Magic,
18:54
and it might have something to do with the trial of Dolores Umbridge is kind
18:59
of the rumors we've seen on storyline there.
19:01
There, but we don't know for sure the movies, all that, that fantastic space
19:07
underneath it would be cool. Yeah.
19:11
Yeah. So there's, there's, there's a lot of space for them to do some cool storytelling
19:15
in there. So that's exciting. Um let's see so i guess let's let's take
19:21
over the next thing that we know a lot about is the how
19:24
to train your dragon area and again looking
19:27
on this map this land is gigantic yeah it's
19:30
the largest one out of all of them and they have a ton of stuff in there um
19:35
i didn't know these movies that a there were this many of these movies and b
19:39
that they were a big hit we saw and my son and i saw the first one and loved
19:44
it but then he outgrew all that stuff and i haven't really kept Yeah.
19:48
They're hugely popular, the movies and Netflix series.
19:52
So they're great. They're a lot of fun.
19:55
And this land, there's a multi-launched roller coaster that's Hiccup's wing gliders.
20:05
And somehow you're going to fly as a dragon. there is
20:08
that's cool the dragon racers rally
20:12
which is kind of a spinner ride where you're
20:15
on these arms and on one end uh opposite
20:19
of you is a dragon that's on the arm and you're sitting in a seat with these
20:23
wings so it's kind of like you're racing with the other dragons going in circles
20:27
i don't know if it's a vomit comet yeah for it yeah there's also uh the fire
20:34
drill which which is a splash battle style boat ride.
20:38
Yeah, the lagoon is monstrous for this thing. It has the big towers rising up out of it.
20:43
And they've got giant full-size Viking ships that are just there for decoration.
20:47
And then they've got a boat ride going on down below.
20:51
They also have a live stage show going in there that they haven't officially confirmed again,
20:59
but from the looks of it, it's going to be the How to Train Your Dragon show
21:03
show that is in universal studios beijing right now which i i looked up some
21:08
footage of and it is amazing it's incredible huge puppets and special effects and it's just the kind of,
21:16
glad to see more show kind of stuff coming into here i always felt like they
21:22
needed more of that in the wizarding world. Yes. Yeah. Everywhere, really. To absorb crowd.
21:30
Just give a thousand people something to do at a time. Right. Yeah.
21:35
Yeah. Keep them in and out. Or keep them in so that other people can end out of my line. Yeah.
21:41
There's also going to be a big meet and greet area there. And I'm curious to
21:46
see what that looks like. Are you just meeting the human actors?
21:49
Are there going to be cool traps? I'm hoping they do like the Jurassic Park
21:54
movie with the velocissimus. If they have little dragons you can interact with, big puppets like that would be awesome.
22:03
That would be so cool. And I wouldn't be surprised because, or not Disney.
22:07
Disney doesn't. Universal has a bunch of those big creatures.
22:12
They have been capitalizing on that. Have you seen this touring dinosaur show that goes around to civic centers and
22:18
stuff? I can see them doing that kind of thing very easily here with the dragons.
22:23
Yeah. Oh, man. Yeah. And that's the whole thing is when we describe these things,
22:28
we have to remember that their big thing for this whole park is they want to
22:34
take what they did with the wizarding world.
22:37
And every single land is going to be that level or better of immersive environments.
22:45
So you really feel transported to these places.
22:49
Which is just so exciting to me like this is
22:52
going to be like a teenager's ultimate park
22:56
there's so many like thrill rides but then
22:59
like heavily themed and beautiful but still like just classic awesome coasters
23:03
going in all over this yeah yeah we have looking to me like it's the perfect
23:08
park for families with kids of all ages because they're putting in stuff right
23:14
from the get-go that's good Good for the smaller kids.
23:18
Yep. All the way up through. And it's really taking the advice that it becomes
23:25
a full family experience.
23:28
We still tend to get a lot of feedback from people that they have this idea
23:32
that the current universal parks are more for older kids.
23:37
Even though they've put in a lot of stuff for the younger kids and are continuing to do so.
23:42
I did notice that when taking my younger kid. there wasn't as much that he could do.
23:46
Yeah. Yeah. And that's definitely starting to change Harry Potter and Minions land.
23:52
Well, there's a lot of it going in for younger kids. Yes. Yeah.
23:56
I'd say, I mean, even coasters. Right. Yeah. And, and we haven't even hit, there's one more coaster still.
24:04
So we've got a coaster in the hub area.
24:06
We've got a coaster and how to train your dragon.
24:09
We've got a coaster, uh,
24:12
A coaster in Nintendo World, the Donkey Kong coaster.
24:16
Oh, yeah. Yeah. A coaster in Donkey Kong World. And now we're going to head
24:19
over to the last announced official land that's going to be opening,
24:24
Dark Universe. This is so exciting.
24:27
We all have been pouring over the concept art and saying that it's going to
24:32
be classic monsters, and they have chosen not to confirm until now.
24:38
This is killer. Yeah, so there is a roller coaster there.
24:44
The speculation is that it's called Curse of the Werewolf or somehow werewolf themed.
24:48
It's a multi-launched spinning roller coaster ride with the seats that spin
24:54
somewhat like Guardians.
24:57
Guardians, yes. It does say family spinning roller coaster, so I am imagining
25:01
it more like Guardians where they spin you to look at certain show elements throughout the thing.
25:07
Right. It looks like it's about half inside, half outside, too.
25:10
A shadowy, gothic landscape where monsters roam.
25:14
I'm so excited for this. Yeah, it's very exciting. So the other attraction in
25:19
there is this gigantic, gigantic Frankenstein Manor building that you go into.
25:25
And it's going to be a dark ride that's going to be on a kooka arm.
25:29
So it's going to be like at Hogwarts, but going through the monsters.
25:36
And it is going to probably shove you right up in the face of some of these monsters and stuff.
25:40
This is so killer to combine a thrill ride with horror.
25:44
I mean, like, the adrenaline is going to be insane. Why hasn't anyone done this yet?
25:48
I don't know, but here we go. It's going to be so great.
25:51
And classic Universal Monsters growing up was my ultimate jam.
25:56
My older brothers were into it. They built all the models of it. We loved it growing up.
26:00
I'm so excited. And they've done a great job updating the monsters so that they
26:05
look modern and cool, but they still have the classic vibe to them.
26:10
The new Frankenstein is so killer looking.
26:16
That's some of my favorite stuff at Halloween Horror Nights that they do with
26:20
the classic monsters have been some of my favorite houses and most terrifying.
26:25
And a meet and greet with these classic monsters? OMG. OMG.
26:30
I did see they just filed a trademark for this area for a bar.
26:38
It's going to be the Burning Blade Tavern.
26:41
So the windmill that Frankenstein's monster makes his final stand in.
26:48
Yeah, like that, but it's going to have a bar inside, it sounds like.
26:53
Again, none of this is confirmed other than we know that they filed this.
26:58
Yeah. yes it's a total churro stand but it sounds like oh cool,
27:09
it's a churro stand yeah i mean it sounds like that's what the whole land well
27:14
they call it a tavern so maybe it'll look like this is very kind of like in
27:18
harry potter the tavern that's in there so like old school gothic rundown european
27:25
tavern like that's gonna look so cool yeah,
27:31
I have to say that go ahead the concept art for the looking at the portal into
27:37
that like everything behind it is gray clouds like they're going to just control
27:42
the weather back there all the time so it's dark and ominous but if they do
27:45
enough berming and stuff they can control what did we say the other day,
27:49
Universal announces Epic Universe they have to say that our friends down the
27:54
road need to be very free with their video games.
28:02
Cool no well hopefully this
28:06
is going to spur them to yeah and we're
28:09
going to be on fortnight i mean that will make them some money but it won't
28:14
help in the theme park war at all no yeah but within the next 10 years for yeah
28:21
i i saw a little bit of a comment from from Iger on that recently that it's
28:26
full steam ahead. It's happening. Is it happening by 2025? It should have been happening five years ago when they
28:33
started this other thing. That's what blows my mind is their response time is just so slow. Always has.
28:40
Yeah. They got caught with their pants down when Harry Potter land opened and
28:45
didn't do squat about it. And then Harry Potter second land open.
28:48
They're like, well, we have new fantasy land. Yeah.
28:52
Okay. And of course, Of course, this is going to drive some visitors to Walt
28:57
Disney World as well, because if families are down there to see this,
29:01
they're going to go visit Disney World as well.
29:04
But it makes me wonder if this is really going to start tipping the scales in
29:10
terms of people staying over at Universal and day tripping to Walt Disney World,
29:14
which has typically been the opposite. And with these new hotels that are incredibly beautiful, but affordable.
29:21
Yes. Yes, not only are they beautiful new hotels.
29:25
The price point is the same thing we said about Aventura, the same thing we
29:29
said about Endless Summer. You can't get $120 a night.
29:33
Endless Summer is closer to Epic Universe. So that's going to become a great resort.
29:40
It already is. They're already beautiful and affordable.
29:43
It's just a little bit. People see it as a little bit more of a trek to the parks.
29:47
Then it's going to be kind of situated between the two and a great spot for either.
29:53
We've said this all along, the deluxe class hotels at Universal are nicer to
30:01
me than the deluxe Disney hotels. You get more hotel for your buck.
30:05
And if this Grand Helios looks like it's going to be even more bang for the
30:09
buck. I am so excited for that because Portofino Bay, it is undergoing a refurb
30:14
right now, but it has lagged behind their other properties in terms of being updated. It's dated.
30:20
It's started to look a little dated.
30:24
They have recently redone all of the rooms, and they're redoing the facades
30:29
of the building right now. The rooms are beautiful. We just looked at them last week.
30:34
But Helios Grand is... I'm excited to see more of what they're going to do with that one. Yeah.
30:41
And another thing I totally forgot about until just now I saw it in this article,
30:45
Brightline is going to have a station right outside of Epic Universe,
30:50
which means that you have that convenient rail connection to the airport,
30:55
which is something Disney tries to get. Disney dropping the ball.
30:59
They said, no, we don't want one at Disney Springs.
31:02
Universal's like, we'll take one. We'll take it. Yeah.
31:06
Yeah. So that's going to be another. And Brightline is, it's fantastic.
31:10
We just experienced it. We rode it from Miami up to Orlando a couple of weeks
31:16
ago. Wonderful experience. Such a great experience.
31:19
Yeah. Nice, really clean stations. And the trains are immaculate.
31:24
The service on them is great. And if you can arrive at MCO and take the train
31:29
over to Universal, that's a game changer. Yeah.
31:34
You've got these hotels. You've got these parks that are getting new things in them.
31:39
I don't see any reason. I mean, honestly, I think you're right that you're going
31:43
to see a lot of people changing the order of operations and staying at Universal.
31:49
They'll go to Disney for a day for Magic Kingdom or for Epcot.
31:53
But I think that I think we're going to see a shift here and I will be that person.
31:59
Yeah. I mean, it's good for a lot of point. If Disney doesn't bring back some
32:03
kind of transportation option, I don't see how we, we avoid that because with
32:08
no magical express and no bright line option from the airport out to,
32:13
to Walt Disney world, um. This is going to kill them. It really is. Such short-sighted thinking.
32:20
It's time to bring something back for bundling your transportation into your trip.
32:27
And I hope that we see that sooner rather than later before any of this opens.
32:31
I'm not optimistic about it, but I hope some of this spurs that.
32:37
I wonder if they're going to have all of the concept art of this park tends
32:41
to show it at night lit up with fireworks above it. So I'm wondering what kind
32:45
of epic nighttime spectacular or spectaculars they may have in this park.
32:51
That excites me to think about. You've got a brand new park with all modern technology.
32:55
They don't really do any night parade at anywhere at Universal.
32:59
They have some cute daytime parades and street parties, but they could really
33:03
do some epic stuff here. They tend to try to drive you into City Walk at night at the current parks.
33:09
I'd love to see them do some great nighttime things here at Epic. Right.
33:13
Without CityWalk being conveniently right there, they're going to have to have
33:17
people to, you know, a reason to keep people there. Nightlight.
33:20
Shopping. Spending money and drinking. They have confirmed that that splash pad area, which we forgot,
33:26
I forgot to mention, but in Celestial Park, there's this huge splash play area.
33:31
And at nighttime, it's going to be lit up and be a little bit of a fountain
33:36
show that you can still use as a splash pad kind of play thing.
33:41
So that'll be an element at night time but yeah i
33:43
i think that there's got there's got to be some sort
33:47
of fireworks or something going on the studios doesn't
33:50
do that whether they'll keep these parks open later than
33:53
they do their current parks which tend to close by
33:56
eight or nine o'clock at night at best
33:59
there's a lot of nights when they're closing at seven which is
34:02
and that's always i thought just to been
34:05
to funnel people out into the shopping in bars because
34:08
that's where the money's that yeah can you
34:12
go in the summertime half the time you can't be at the park at
34:15
night because the Sun sets so late you don't even they're closed
34:18
before the Sun goes down all the way and that's you need that in the summer
34:23
it's too hot down there I know I always think I'm gonna leave during the day
34:27
go swim and then come back at night and then there is no just go to dinner and
34:32
there you aren't City Walker back at your hotel.
34:37
So I hope there is more nightlife, because all the concept art is leaning heavily
34:41
into night and dusk shows. What it looks like at night, yeah.
34:45
And it does look like it's going to be cool at night. The whole concept of the
34:49
park, the outer space of the celestial area and those portals and stuff,
34:56
it just lends itself to being lit up.
34:59
And if they have enough land around there, I want to see a drone show, gosh dang it. Yes!
35:04
Because the things they're doing at Disneyland Paris With drones There's a dearth
35:09
of drone shows in the US It's terrible,
35:13
I want a trip to Paris Just to see that drone show at Disneyland Paris That's
35:18
the only reason That's it, yeah. If only you knew someone that could make that happen Oh wait,
35:26
I know who can make that happen If you're excited to explore the exciting worlds
35:29
Of Epic, of Universal's Epic Universe or maybe visit Visit Disneyland Paris for the drone show.
