Pádraic Ó Griallais, is a 6th generation poitín distiller from Connemara. His family have been producing poitín on the shores of Galway Bay for over 170 years and a number of years ago Pádraic set up the first licenced distillery in Galway in over 100 years to legally produce and sell his families' highly regarded potion. We talk about the history of Poitín, Pádraic's family, how he set up Micil distillery and we even try a bit of the glorious product.
